MRM All-Natural Whey Review

MRM is fairly large US-based supplement company that produces all sorts of nutrition products, but it is their protein powders that I want to talk about in this review, in particular their MRM All-Natural Whey.

It’s not one of the biggest brands out there but is certainly gaining popularity and selling well online, and since it’s listed in our top 5 favourite natural protein shakes, I wanted to take an in-depth look at it and see how it measures up to the others.

Protein Content and Ingredients

Similar to Dymatize’s Elite Natural Whey, MRM’s All-Natural Whey contains a blend of microfiltered protein isolate and ultrafiltered low-temperature processed concentrates. This means that the whey protein in this shake is of a good quality, but not quite as high as others on our list.

I must say I was a little disappointed to see it only contains 18g of protein per serving, especially when you consider that others on our list like BioTRUST LowCarb and ON’s 100% Natural Whey contain 24g per serving.

In saying this however, it does contain only 85 calories and just 1.5g of carbs per scoop making it great for ladies looking to lose weight or stay on a low carb diet.

As it says on the label, it is a natural protein powder and is therefore free from artificial sweeteners, flavours and preservatives…but remember this doesn’t mean it is organic. As far as I can tell it is not certified organic or non-GMO – so if this is important to you, you may be best advised to choose this certified organic protein powder.

Taste and Mixability

MRM’s All-Natural Whey comes in 2 different flavours – Chocolate or Vanilla, and like all the other natural protein powders on our list, the sweetness is added using natural Stevia, but to be honest, it can be a little on the sweet side – particularly the vanilla flavour. But as always, taste is subjective, so if you like sweet flavours then this would be a good choice for you.

Mixability is very good in both milk and water and mixes well with a spoon or in a shaker. The vanilla flavour seems to mix a little better than the chocolate one, but there’s not much difference.

For me the biggest negative has to be the low protein content per serving as mentioned above, since you get an additional 30% extra from some of the other protein shakes on our list. The low calorie content does help to balance this out though, so you could have a scoop and a half per serving if you really want to get the extra protein hit.

MRM’s All-Natural Whey is on the whole a good natural protein powder for women who are looking to lose weight as the low calorie content and low carbs make it ideal.

One of the biggest plus points of MRM’s All-Natural Whey is that is has a pretty good price depending on where you buy it from. It is pretty competitive compared to other powders on the market, and is therefore one of the better value natural proteins out there.
